Contact Us

SecurityPension.com is a small, independent publication. We read every message we receive, and reader feedback is one of the main reasons our content has gotten more accurate and more useful over time. If you have a question, a correction, or a topic you wish we covered, we want to hear from you.

Email Us

The fastest way to reach our editorial team is by email at [email protected]. A real person reads every message. We typically reply within 2–3 business days; we may take a little longer during major Social Security or IRS rule-update windows in October and November.

What We Can Help With

  • Corrections. If you find a number, rule, or date on our site that you believe is wrong, please tell us — ideally with a link to the primary source so we can verify and update.
  • Topic suggestions. Tell us what retirement-benefit question you wish someone would answer clearly. Reader-suggested topics drive a meaningful share of our editorial calendar.
  • Clarifications. If something we wrote is unclear, let us know. Most “this article should be clearer” emails result in an article rewrite within a week or two.
  • Source feedback. If you spot a more authoritative source than the one we cited, send it over. We will swap citations when a stronger source exists.
  • Press, partnerships, and editorial outreach. Use the same email address; please put “Press” or “Partnerships” in the subject line.

What We Cannot Help With

SecurityPension.com is an independent publisher. We are not a law firm, a financial advisory practice, an insurance brokerage, an accountant’s office, the Social Security Administration, or any other government agency. Because of that, there are some things we genuinely cannot do for you, no matter how well-intentioned the request:

  • We cannot give personalized financial, legal, tax, or medical advice.
  • We cannot calculate your specific Social Security benefit, project your retirement income, or recommend a claiming age for your situation.
  • We cannot file Social Security, SSI, disability, or Medicare applications on your behalf, and we cannot check the status of an application you already filed.
  • We cannot intervene in disputes with the SSA, the IRS, the PBGC, your former employer, your pension plan administrator, or any private insurer.
  • We do not accept guest-post submissions or paid links and cannot place sponsored content.

Where to Get Direct Help

If you need to act on a specific case, the right organizations to contact directly are:

  • Social Security Administrationssa.gov or 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–7 p.m. local time. Use this for benefit estimates, applications, account questions, and direct-deposit changes.
  • Medicaremedicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Use this for plan questions, enrollment, and Medicare card issues.
  • Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC)pbgc.gov. Use this for questions about a private-sector pension that PBGC has taken over.
  • State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)shiphelp.org. Free one-on-one Medicare counseling in your state.
  • Internal Revenue Serviceirs.gov or 1-800-829-1040 for individual tax questions.

Privacy

We treat reader emails as private. We do not share your email address, your name, or the contents of your messages with advertisers, partners, or third parties. We may quote anonymized portions of reader questions in articles to illustrate a common situation; if a reader’s wording is distinctive enough that it could identify them, we ask first. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
