Who Will Receive Two July Deposits?
The two-deposit schedule applies to people who receive both SSI and social Security. The Social Security Administration's 2027 payment calendar lists SSI for Thursday, July 1, and Social Security for Friday, July 2.
People who receive only SSI should expect the July 1 payment. Those who receive only Social Security may be paid July 2, 14, 21, or 28, depending on which scheduling rule applies.
Why Does Social Security Arrive July 2?
SSI is generally paid on the first day of the month. Social Security is normally paid on the third for beneficiaries who started receiving benefits before May 1997 and those receiving both Social Security and SSI. Because july 3, 2027, is a Saturday, that Social Security payment moves to Friday, July 2.

Why the Two Deposits Are Not a Bonus

Someone receiving both programs may see two deposits, but that does not mean SSA issued an extra monthly benefit. The July 1 deposit is SSI, while the July 2 deposit is the person's regularly scheduled Social Security payment.
What to Do If a Payment Is Missing
Check the expected date before treating a deposit as late. Confirm whether your payment follows the SSI, July 2, or birthday-based schedule.
